is GOD fair?

is GOD not FAIR? Armed robbers are able to escape robbery scenes before the police arrive; the big political thieves never get caught. The accountant working with no integrity seems to prosper through his foul means. The poor Christian who diverts just a little project funds to pay his family expenses with intention of paying back later gets caught and is expelled from job. The first day the Christian visits the worldly party is the day violent fights breakout; sadly they end up being the victims and the godless wicked people survive it. The drunkard’s over speeding car summersaults three times but then he escapes safe. The day the pastor jumps traffic in haste to be early to church is the day he crushes a teenager on the zebra crossing. Simply, it doesn’t seem fair - too much evidence to back it.

Isn't it true that God is not fair because instead of what people deserve, he gives them another? God decides to allow the disobedient child to live on and wait for him to repent instead of fast-tracking His judgment. He gives us life when we deserve death. Of course He says that the wages of sin is death yet provides a way by which He does not pay that wage to the sinner who would accept.
He gives too many benefits to man and that is why He is unfair.

Actually, we are all beneficiaries of this unfair nature which indeed is fair. Because in all the ways, He permits the sinner to have a fair trial. He condemns his sin and then bids him  either to accept the guilt and get pardoned and acquitted or reject accepting it and earn the jail he deserves. He takes home the Christian from a world full of vices to His beautiful heaven.

In essence, all what God does is to wait enough for the sinner to repent, chastise the believer who errs because he is a son and not a bastard, takes home the Christian when the time is best.

So the next time you see his mercy and grace at work do not whine and curse at His holy and just person. I believe strongly that His ways are perfect and you just don’t understand. He does not work by our time or in our ways. God is very fair. He would not permit the saved to be consumed in the transient here but he permits the wicked enough (but limited) time to choose eternity before his one appointed death appears.

Do not be disturbed when the scenes of life unfold, because they come together to write a big perfect story of which an explanation within finite time does not permit. You would not understand God’s ways until ‘you go into the sanctuary of God’.

You might want to read Psalm 73 and 2 Peter 3:9 carefully
