It sucks time and you n'ere know it
Keeping your fingers busy and eyes fixed
Feasting on the newest and reviewing the oldest

Suggesting closeness to them that live miles away
Keeping you worlds away from them around you
Smiling, crying, angry and depressed for the unknown
Caring less, annoyed by and disregarding kin to be popular to the world unknown

This network illuminates and misleads, connects and disconnects
Builds the world away and destroys the one here
It sells much folly and offers little wisdom
It is a world outside our world
Very social yet asocial

EVER-FRESH TRUST

When you think of the manner in which God provided the Israelites with the manna, it seems quite fascinating - Just enough for the day and a warning against keeping the excess for the morrow. God could have decided to give the people of Israel all the manna they might need for the rest of their journey. Or maybe He could have given it at least enough for three days up to a week.  Why did God choose the ‘petty manna flow’ approach? The fact is God knows the heart of man that, once he gets his needs beyond today, he forgets the source of the blessings and oftentimes esteems the blessing more than the one from whom it all flows. He knows what man can and cannot handle. He loves to stay connected to His own on the daily basis. Even though the almighty God is self-sufficient, he cherishes that relationship and seeks ways of maintaining it. BROOM-STICK TAPE MEASURE

It was a practice in remote Ghana in the not too distant past when older family members travel to the city to buy footwear for the younger family members, they would measure the feet of the prospective shoe owner with broom sticks. The way it works is that because most of the people could not tell the sizes of footwear that the individual uses, they would break a locally made broomstick (manufactured from palm fronds or coconut stalks) and align it by the feet and break just enough to match the length of the broom stick with that of the shoe owners. Even in cases when the older ones want to surprise the younger ones which normally occurs during festivities, this special measurement is done when the kids are asleep.
