BE BRAVE!

The title the coward knows is won by commitment to fear
Fear to die to self and be humble to a greater truth than himself
The coward finds for himself solace that travels not beyond himself
He's too scared to trust power greater than what was placed in him

The origin of his power is the truth he has continuously rejected
He knows he's not the greatest yet would not believe there's a greater One
Rushing through life with no desire for the Light
The coward leaves bare his broad chest and begins a muscle show in the dark
Burning others, burying his glory and hurting himself with the pain he hopes to bring some gain to his name
But this coward must not end the day without seeing the light
With every step he nears gently the end with no hope to win
The light keeps waving and yelling for him to yield
This coward must be brave amidst his fierce tears to change his woes
The strongest, skillful, boldest and wisest of men would fail at the end
Unless they accept they're frailty and cleave to His might and Perfection
The bravest knows his woes and calls for help

EVER-FRESH TRUST

When you think of the manner in which God provided the Israelites with the manna, it seems quite fascinating - Just enough for the day and a warning against keeping the excess for the morrow. God could have decided to give the people of Israel all the manna they might need for the rest of their journey. Or maybe He could have given it at least enough for three days up to a week.  Why did God choose the ‘petty manna flow’ approach? The fact is God knows the heart of man that, once he gets his needs beyond today, he forgets the source of the blessings and oftentimes esteems the blessing more than the one from whom it all flows. He knows what man can and cannot handle. He loves to stay connected to His own on the daily basis. Even though the almighty God is self-sufficient, he cherishes that relationship and seeks ways of maintaining it. BROOM-STICK TAPE MEASURE

It was a practice in remote Ghana in the not too distant past when older family members travel to the city to buy footwear for the younger family members, they would measure the feet of the prospective shoe owner with broom sticks. The way it works is that because most of the people could not tell the sizes of footwear that the individual uses, they would break a locally made broomstick (manufactured from palm fronds or coconut stalks) and align it by the feet and break just enough to match the length of the broom stick with that of the shoe owners. Even in cases when the older ones want to surprise the younger ones which normally occurs during festivities, this special measurement is done when the kids are asleep.
